A Starry Week ⭐

This week’s Parsha is Lech Lecha! Hashem tells Avraham to leave his home and go “to the place that I will show you.” Avraham, didn’t know where he was going, but he trusted Hashem to guide him, keep him safe, and lead him to the best place!

Tal, practiced trusting just like Avraham when he bravely walked blindfolded through our classroom! Ziva, guided him with directions like “forward,” “left,” and “right”, a great way to practice our direction skills, too! Tal, trusted his friend, followed the directions, and he made it! ❤️

Hashem gave Avraham a very special bracha! Hashem promised that Avraham’s family would grow and become as many as the stars in the sky! ⭐

Can you count all the stars in the sky? ⭐ Yosef counted 43 stars, while Ashira counted 3,000! That’s a lot of stars! We learned that each one of us is one of Avraham’s special stars! Every Jewish child shines brightly and makes the world a little brighter with their mitzvos..

Toby, said she could see a million stars!

Ariella is shiny star!

Opposite Day! One of our center tables had the paper underneath it this week instead of on top! We laid down on the floor, looked up, and went star watching while using stamps to create a beautiful sky full of stars above us..

The kids created their very own suitcases to practice our own “Lech Lecha!”🧳 We thought about what we would pack if Hashem told us to go on a special journey, just like Avraham. Yehudis, made sure to pack Torah and an apple

We also played a fun quick-packing game! Gabriel, was our packing champ with a high score of just 37 seconds! Through this fun, fast-moving activity, we learned that Hashem loves when we are quick and excited to do a mitzvah! We carried this lesson right into circle time, when it was time to give tzedakah, everyone made sure to do their mitzvah extra quickly...

Academics

Three-step sequencing cards teach us each story has a beginning, a middle, & an end (chronological order.) We worked in small groups to tell our stories to the other friends in class.

Our Kindergarteners  played a game that helped recognize numbers numerically and phonetically.

Shabbat Shalom!
