I am like a tree!

This week we started our Tu B'shvat unit! When we celebrate the birthday of the trees. 

Bringing parts of the tree in to get our hands on it is the best way to lay the foundation of learning all about the trees.

The light table gave us a different perspective.

Tal, helped decorate trees for our bulletin board.

Painting different parts of the tree and learning their names. 

Water drops inside bark was a unique experience to see cause and effect.

Sensory is always a great way for children to learn! Oliver, using clay as a base for his tree. 

Zalman, used his fine motor skills to place pipe cleaners in some holes to make branches. 

We than learned all about the different parts of the tree and how they are just like our body. 

Tal, placing branches on Zalmans tree body and each part represents something else in us!

Connection builds best outdoors. 

This week our friends have also worked hard on their 'muffins for mom' crafts. 

Using splattering technique to create another layer of color. 

We also made delicious muffins for our moms. 

Hi mommies! What a treat to spend the morning together.
