Traveling through the desert
What happened after the splitting of the sea? Where were the Jewish people heading?
The Jewish people were now on a long journey following their leader Moshe.
We took this opportunity to learn about TRANSPORTATION.
The children started thinking, how did they travel? Was there airplanes ? Some requested maybe rocket ships ;)
What do we have now that they didn't have then?
All the children took off their shoes and we talked about what it might have felt like walking bare foot or with out their comfortable colorful shoes.
While their shoes were off we played a fun game using only our sense of touch. Could they find their own shoe while blind folded?
Hashem made a big miracle and surrounded the Jewish people with a big cloud to protect them.
However, we wanted the children to experience what it might have felt like walking on sand bare foot.
We added little bugs to help us imagine all the little creatures Hashem protected them from.
Math Concepts...
Different ways we can travel now.
As a group we graphed the different transportation methods from slow to fast.
Airplane math
Sensory Learning...
Fun paint tracks using all different types of transportation.
What do tracks look like in shaving cream?
Train puzzle
Motor planning
Paper airplanes with a hanging hoola hoop from the ceiling!
What did they eat in the desert?
Hashem made another miracle by sending down the "mann" a heavenly food that tasted like anything they wanted!
Each child got a chance to draw what they would want the mann to taste like.
Mothers Day
Levi worked really hard copying a train for his mothers day project!
We want to wish a big happy 4th birthday to Devorah Leah!!
Making delicious birthday cupcakes together.
