This week we focused on colors! For some of the older ones this was a great review and a chance to model and help out the younger ones in their color recognition.
Bela Riva had fun sorting the blocks into the different colored bags.
Color hunt
We paired up the children into different color teams as they were invited to find their color items from around our classroom. This was a great team work activity that required patience and communication.
Menachem showing the class his red items he found. Motty proud of the orange horse he found!
Evan representing his team blue.
Dovi taking it to the next level showing us the different colors he found on a book. The question was what color team did it belong to?
The children were invited to mix two different paint colors in a shaving cream bag to see what would happen! Mina mixing blue and red and Saige was excited to find orange appearing from her red and yellow paint!
Science and colors
What happens when you sprinkle salt on ice balls? By painting water colors on it the children were able to see the colors flow down the little 'valleys' that the salt created.
Mitzvah colors!
Our class worked hard all week creating their 'Mitzvah color book'. Each color represented a different mitzvah. Shayna drawing a friendship heart picture on her red page. Dovi creating his challah on the brown page.Eating a rainbow!
At the end of our colorful week we had a 'color fruit party!'.
Hashem created such delicious colorful fruit. The children go to help place them into a rainbow while reviewed all the colors.
Delicious!
Taking care of our pet.
