Hashem Is So Close
We learned the Mashal of the King in the field.
Hashem is like our king and in Elul we are able to get so close to Hashem.
Making Elul crowns.
Several renditions of the kings palace were built.
We spoke about how Hashem is everywhere and loves us so much.
Chana Rochel told us Hashem is in her heart.
Shmuel told us Hashem is in the sea and over the sea.
Then we were invited to draw Hashem!
It was tricky, but Hashem is in everything!
We hear the shofar blown everyday in Elul!
Thank you Rabbi Lang
The shofar sounds like a baby crying. We heard a baby crying in our classroom and had to go find it!
You can't leave a baby alone. The Jewish people are Hashem's baby and when we blow the shofar, Hashem listens to us.
Mina fills up the baby 10 frame, Moshe searches for the crying baby.
There are three things that people try to do more of in Elul!
Teshuva, Tefillah and Tzedaka
We made a list of different ideas that go in these categories.
Everyone is excited to give tzedaka in the morning.
Taking extra care to hold our tzitzis during the bracha.
Different opportunities were available to practice writing skills. Batya uses her muscles to push the clay to trace the word Elul.
Meir searches for words around the room to write down.
Sensory Elul
Adding a whole new element of excitement to paint in different ways,
You can never go wrong with shaving cream.
