Count down till Pesach!

With just days till Pesach our friends have been touching up on their Pesach lessons.
Our friends learned what is Chometz and what we can eat on Pesach by graphing a lot of different food pictures.

What happens after we clean our Chometz from our house?
We learned about Bedikas Chometz when we search for 10 pieces of bread to burn before Pesach starts.
Mimi, helped wrap little pieces of bread for our Bedikas chometz hunt.
During circle time each friend had to find a piece of Chometz hiding in our classroom and we threw it in the fire!

This week we took a deeper look into the food items we will see at the Seder.
Mimi and Yakov, helped us cut apples and pear for the Charoses. This mixture reminds us of the cement the Jewish people had to make while being slaves.

We learend a lot about Matzah! Menachem practicing his cutting skills by following the crack lines on his Matzah picture.

A fun 'find the Chometz game' !

We will be getting a lot of grape juice on Pesach! We had some fun filing up the grape juice bottle at our sensory table.

We learned the reasons behind each item on the Seder plate.

Starting on Pesach we start counting the Omar till the next holiday of Shavous when we received the Torah. After decorating them we each got to take home our own count down chart.
