I am like the Stars and the Sand!

It has been so beautiful watching our friends fill up our helpful board! When we put our focus and attention to all the act of kindness as simple as noticing what a friend is lacking or picking up a piece of garbage this creates such a ripple affect of more and more good!
This is how our world becomes lighter by each doing our part.

Shai, working really hared cleaning the table and Mendy, shared his toy with his friends and helped teach them how to have patience and wait their turn!

This week's Parsha is Lech Lecha which means to go.
Avraham, the first Jew got tested by Hashem who told him to leave his birth place Charan and go to Eretz Yisroel.
Finding the journey on the globe and map.

What was the test like?
Shai, demonstrated by being blind folded and listening to the instructions where to go.
It was a bit disorienting and needed a lot of trust.
Avraham had a lot of trust and love for Hashem and past this test!

The test continued for Avrham since there was no food when he arrived in Eretz Yisroel and had to head to Mitzrayim.
Chaya Leah and Mendy acted out Sara having to hide in a box so the King wouldn't've take her and when that failed a big miracle happened and Avraham got Sara back.
It was not an easy life but Avraham and Sara knew that Hashem was with them and that He will protect them. This is a lesson for our life that we talk about each davening circle!

Hashem blessed Avraham with a beautiful Bracha that the Jewish nation will be as numerous as the sand on the ground and the stars in the sky.

Shai, using sand to practice writing hebrew letters.

Yossi, creating a beautiful desert scene with Avraham and Sara standing on the sand.

Yakov and Kfir, working together to make a star out of small beads.

Working hard at the play dough table making as many stars as they could.

We learned the hebrew word for star, Kochav and practiced writing it.

Our Lech Lecha davening following the different footsteps as we daven to Hashem.

Kindergarten Kria is learning how to read three letter words with the vowel of Kamatz and learning which letters are silent at the end.

Prk learning the letter Hey.

Outside time review.

During academics we measured items and practiced our handwriting skills.

We want to wish a big Mazel Tov to Mendy on his 5th Birthday!

Hashem's Star!

This week's Parsha Lech Lecha teaches us about the first ever Jewish man who discovered Hashem,
Avraham! Little Avraham coming to life as he tries to find Hashem.

Our friends knew the answer right away when asked if different objects were Hashem. Hashem is everywhere and is protecting us wherever we go!
Hashem gave Avraham a beautiful Bracha while he was leaving his birth place heading to Eretz Yisroel.
The Jewish nation will be as BIG as the amount of sand on the floor and stars in the sky! Amen!

Our sensory table turned into a sand scene with people and animals and we got a good sense how little and how many the sand is.

Axel, created a camel that walks in the desert with hiding items that Avraham and sara might have needed.

Our sandbox outside is such a fun place to create!

We created star gazers to try to see the stars in the sky. Took some concentration to try to paint something round and some friends trying to paint the inside.

Ariella, trying to find the stars.

Nechama, decorating hers.

Combining the two brachas together and decorating our star project with sand!

Eli, made stars using play dough.

Each and everyone of us are one of those stars!
We are so special! We invited each child to get their own special star song!

Ayal, feeling special and drew himself!

Aftercare fun with balloons.

Parshas Noach and helpfulness!

This week we learned about Parshas Noach.
Shai, helped us act out what the people were like. Hashem, gifted them with tremendous strength and height. However, they used these gifts for not good. Every person in the world besides Noach and Naama's family just wanted to fill the world with darkness.
Noach and Naama had a big job!

Hashem told Noach there will be a Mabul - a full world flood.
While learning about boats and what floats on water we experimented with different objects to see what floats and what sinks.

Leah, painting her Teiva black as the tar that Noach had to put on the inside and outside of the Teiva so no water would come in. Our friends, found 7 kosher animals and 2 non-kosher animals to place in the Teiva.

When the Mabul was over Hashem showed Noach's family a beautiful rainbow showing them He will never bring a Mabul again! The rainbow also shows us what our job is in the world- to fill it with beautiful Mitzvahs.
Mimi, watched her rainbow colors float to the top of the water.

As a class we documented on our rainbow bulletin board how our friends are helpful.
Shai, helping feed our fish. Leah, making sure our dishes are clean.

Mimi, noticed Chaya Leah needed a ice pack and ran to get one! This is how our world is filled with so much light, when we each do our part to be helpful and kind.

Prk kria

Learnign the letter daled. Leah, showing her friends how to make it.

Yossi, made a daled with blocks.

Using our finger prints to create and review our alef beis.

Kindergarden kria

We introduced the first vowel of Kamatz this week! We introduced it by talking about the holiness of the letters and vowels. At Har Sinai Hashem showed Moshe each holy letter and the black letters in the Torah were created with black fire and the white spaces around the letters were made with white fire. We looked at a flame to see what colors we see.

Been so beautiful to witness the enthusiasm of learning how to not just read a new language but the holiness it comes with.

Yedidya, making a kamatz ice cream cone.

During academics our class has been working on their math skills and writing their names.

Have a great Shabbos!
