This week, we continued learning about Pesach. We looked at the calendar and saw that this year, Pesach starts right after Shabbat! We talked about Chag Rishon (the first days of Pesach) and Chag Sheni (the last days of Pesach). On the first days of Pesach, we will have the seder night and celebrate leaving Mitzrayim (Egypt), and the last days remind us of the future Geulah, when Hashem will bring us the redemption. The Lubavitcher Rebbe taught that just like Hashem saved us from Egypt, He will bring Moshiach soon to save the whole world!
On Chag Sheni, we will have a special meal called "Seudat Moshiach." The Rebbe taught that this meal is extra special because it connects us to the Geulah! The kids pretended to eat alot of matzah to show Hashem that we are ready for the Geulah to come right now!

Morah handed out paper bags, and we wrote the word "Geulah" on them.

Then, the children got to choose what they would bring with them to Eretz Yisrael when Moshiach will come.

We used blocks to build Yerushalayim and the Beis Hamikdash!
Yossi C. was excited to build a really tall building with the blocks!
After the Jews were freed from Egypt and crossed Yam Suf (Red Sea), the women led the way in praising Hashem. They took their tambourines and danced, celebrating their freedom. The Rebbe teaches that the tambourines show how happy and thankful we are for the miracles Hashem did for us. So we decorated our own tambourines!
Dancing for Moshiach now!
All the Pesach projects are coming together beautifully!

This week, the children had fun taking turns wearing a crown with a word on it. Their friends helped sound out the word, and the child wearing the crown wrote it down. It was a fun way to practice reading, writing, and teamwork while helping each other learn!
