Flying to Yerushalyim!

Welcome to the first week of Camp Gan Camarillo!
Our theme this summer is Eretz Yisroel/ Israel . Not only do we want to learn about our land given to the Jewish people but also how we can we make HERE like Eretz Yisroel. Every time we feel proud to be a Jew and do many Mitzvahs that's how we can turn Camarillo into a holy place!

We welcomed our friends with their very own passports and a fun surprise suitcase to help transition into a fun first day at camp!

Eli, decorating his very first page.

Zalman, found an airplane to fly to Eretz Yisroel.

This weeks place we went to 'visit' is Yerushalyim. The holiest place in Eretz Yisroel where the Kotel is and where the Beis Hamikdash was and will be!
How can we bring Yerushalayim into our classroom?
By davening and connecting to Hashem!

Tal and Zalman, showing us how people daven at the Kotel.

Davening at our circle time is such a special time to watch these precious children talk to Hashem!

Bringing the Kotel in our sensory center using playdough as a medium.

We used blocks to help create the bricks on our Kotel crafts.

Aftercare fun, making homemade Chumus!

Enjoying the delicious results and promoting healthy eating!

The most special part of the first week is watching friendships blossom.

A fun puppet show theater came this week and we had lots of giggles to share with each other.

Swim day!
