We finished our heart of mitzvos… and you know what that means? It was finally time for the Lag BaOmer Parade!
The children were so excited to walk proudly in the streets, holding the beautiful signs they made and showing such wonderful Jewish pride and spirit. We said pesukim together and sang songs! It was so special to celebrate our Yiddishkeit together with so much happiness and achdus (unity)!
We celebrated Lag BaOmer with a bonfire, songs, roasted marshmallows, and special stories shared by Rabbi Lang.
Mother’s Day is coming up, and the kids have been working hard on a special card and a beautiful jewelry plate for their moms.
Pre-K Kria
Mazal tov to our friends on completing his first Alef Beis book!π They now get a brand new red book to complete the Alef Beis and received a special yummy treat of Alef Beis cookies!π
K Kria
Practicing Hebrew with Buba (baby dolls) was a great way for the kids to connect, self-regulate, and learn through mirroring. We learned body parts in Hebrew, and the children were so gentle and caring with the bubas. Many of the kids have baby siblings at home, and it was so sweet to see their nurturing side shine through.
Academics
We had a “Write the Room” scavenger hunt for the planets in our solar system.
One of our Centers this week featured a count and graph game.
Aftercare
In honor of lag BaOmer The children made a fun and creative bon fire with yummy treats. They enjoyed building and decorating their own sweet creations, practicing what they would do, sharing, laughing and learning along the way.
Hands on learning for heart filled celebrations π₯❤️
