Write with a Feather? Ink?

Did you know a Torah Scroll has to be written with a feather & Ink?

The children at Gan enjoyed a "Scribe Center" this week, as they learned how a Torah is written. 

The Torah contains all the Mitzvot that Hashem gave to us on Mt. Sinai on Shavuot! (Shavuot will be celebrated this coming Wed & Thurs May 15 & 16)

 After dipping the feather into ink, the children practiced writing letters onto paper!

 We also put out magnifying glasses to show the children the importance of every letter being written exactly right. One tiny mistake would make the Torah "not Kosher."
