Parshat Vayeira: Be Our Guest

Parshat Vayeira: Be Our Guest

Yisroel is using special dishes to set up the table.
When you are a host you use special dishes to show your guest how important they are.

Evan practices setting a formal table

Capit Hebrew

We had so much fun learning the rainbow sound. All the children got a turn to use the rainbow chalk rake to make the shape of the ''R'' sound that looks like a rainbow and say the ''R'' sound at the same time.

Motty is blending the top and the bottom sound. First read the top sound, then read the bottom sound.
We learned that the ה sound at the end of a word is very tired and can't speak anymore, so it is sleeping.

Aleph Bais Fun

TK learned this week that גזר (gezer) starts with a ג (Gimmel)!
Faiga takes a turn squeezing hummus on a baby carrot and sticking it to the tray to make a giant Gimmel.
Mendel plays a Gezer matching game, and digs up an aleph- beis match.

Menachem uses the stem of a Gezer to paint his Gimmel.
We are making an Aleph Bais book in our class!!

C is for Corn

In Tk we like to explore the letters of the Alphabet through a concrete medium. This week we learned and explored with corn! Corn starts with the letter C.
Faiga shakes corn kernels and paint together creating a shake-painted "C"

Tk watched and worked together to pop the pop-corn kernels. Everyone took turns and waited patiently for the Popcorn Party to begin!

Evan presses the pattern of a corncob into his yellow playdough

Tk made a graph of our favorite ways to eat corn. We each got to place two stickers on the chart, representing our two favorite ways to eat corn. Mendel was excited to show that he liked popcorn the best.
