Make It Rain

Make It Rain

This week Pre-K explored rain and rainbows along with the Teiva (Ark).
Rolling a dice, and covering the number that matches.
Using wind and water paint to create puddles and rain.

Different sensory trays allowed children to recreate Noach going onto the Teiva
Emma wanted to make the floor of the Teiva very strong, so no water could get in.

Making the wind blow with our bodies.
Making rain and rainbow colors with waterbeads.

We learned that Hashem uses two ingredients to make a rainbow; water and light.
When light shines through water, it creates a rainbow!
Hashem made the rainbow a sign for the people when He is angry, that He will never make a flood again.
Our class uses signs to show when we need to be patient, or have a question.

Making  name rainbows,
piecing the color word back together, helps us recognize distinct letters.

Group activity, fine motor matching colors on the rainbow.
Rolling out the colors of the rainbow, to find the letter beneath.

Reading a great interactive story about color mixing.
Mix It Up by Herve Tullet

We found out all animals and insects went on the teiva! Even worms!
Nobody could believe it.
Some friends wanted to take home the worms as a pet.

Introducing the letters of our hebrew name and finding them on the stencil.
Rhyming matching games are a little tricky!
Moshe thought that snail and snake was a rhyme because  they both began SNA.
Not a rhyme, but both are animals on the Teiva.
