We are so proud of all of our friends for learning Chassidus on each holy letter of the Alef Beis.
We are now on the next step of our special journey, learning how to blend the Kamatz sound with each letter.
The letters have lessons for our life. We will be forever REACHING and striving to learn more and more about Hashem's holy letters.
Learning how to read. Practicing the skill of pointing and following along.
Playing interactive games with the Kamatz to help us remember the sound.
This week's Parsha is Toldos.
Rivka, after praying for children became pregnant with twins.
We invited our friends to imagine if they had a twin what would they look like. Arik said he would look just like me, see in the mirror!
Documenting our work.
Practicing writing the names Yakov and Esav.
We learned about their completely different personalities. Yakov, wanting to Daven and Learn while Esav just wanted to hunt. Creating a two sided puppet.
Creating the twins with playdough. Mina, added red buttons for the red hair Esav was born with.
When Esav came back from hunting so hungry he rudely took the soup Yakov made. Yakov made a deal with Esav if he gave him his birth right bracha he would feed him the soup.
We made a yummy lentil soup this week.
This was a great opportunity to talk about our manners.
We have two voices in our heads. Yakov voice, that tells us to do good and Esav voice that tells us to do the opposite.
By circle time, we explored what those voices sound like.
When Yitzchak got older he was losing his eye sight. We connected it to the next of the morning Brachas we are up to. Poseach ivrim, thank you Hashem for our eye sight.
We learned Chassidus on the bracha and talked about how even if we can see, we can sometimes be 'blind' by not realizing what's happening to us is from Hashem. We have been translating this bracha while we say it to help us with our concentration.
Yitzchak giving Yakov the first born bracha by feeling his arm that was "hairy" like Esav.
Working on a Birthday card for Morah Leah! Happy Birthday!
