Megillahs Esther coming to life!

This week we continued the story of Purim. It was now time to 'enter' the royal palace! Coming from Mordechai and Esther's Jewish home we noticed the contrast between both of the environments. Mordechai's home was full of Mitzvot and love of the Torah and Hashem. King Achashverosh was all about his riches and showing them off.

Through different activities, dress up, projects, and puppet shows we experienced Purim in such a hands on way!

King Achashverosh didn't have his wife, Queen Vashti anymore, he made a decree where EVERY girl in the land had to come into the palace to see if they would be fit to be his new Queen.

Esther, was taken by the guards and Mordechai told her to keep her Jewish identity a secret.

King Achashverosh realized Esther was special and chose her to be his new Queen.

Esther had full Emunah (belief) in Hashem that this plan was meant to be for the good!

While most girls were excited to see if they were chosen. Esther would rather be in Mordechai's home and when she knew she had to go she didn't want anything fancy while getting ready.

Hangman became a popular game in our class with guessing the Hebrew letters!

As we learned more about the story we had fun placing our drawings in sequence of the events.

During circle time, we played a laughing game in honor of Rosh Chodesh Adar where we increase in joy! We all started pretending to laugh and then it turned into a real laughing circle!
