My big voice!

This week we continued the Purim story!
Esther was chosen to be the Queen. What was that like? The palace was quite different than her Jewish home with Mordechai. She was so brave and Hashem was with her IN the palace. Hashem is always with us!
The palace came to life in our classroom.

Inspired by real palaces and castles our friends were invited to build their own.

Using our hand eye coordination to make a building that balanced. Critical thinking at play by watching our friends switching out round blocks and straight blocks to help their building to be sturdy and bigger ones on the bottom.

Eli, using magnet tiles to create his castle.

Having fun with lots of bling found in our sensory bin and using gems to make our very own crown.

Yocheved sara adding fun sparkly gems to her play dough.

While being in the palace can feel fun and special. It was not a comfortable place for a Jew. We introduced Haman who made a bad choices and wanted to force the Jewish people to bow down to him.
Using our 'big voice' is a big topic in our school. Sometimes we need to be brave and stick up for what we need or if something is wrong.
Reuvi, practicing his big voice saying "no" to Haman.

Making our very own graggers we are going to use to blot out the name of Haman during the reading of the Megillah.
Ayal, filling his up, what sound does it make when I shake it?

Working hard on our Megillahs.

Adar fun! It is a big Mitzvah to be extra happy in this month!
Dress up makes us all happy!

Pajama Day!

Busy in the sun together.

 A Queen, hard at work.

Quiet cozy story time to regulate our systems.
