Mitzvahs we do with our FEET!

Our very last week of Camp was packed with fun!
This summer's theme has been Mitzvahs we do with different body parts. This week, was our feet!
Our friends played a fun relay race using their fast feet to do different Mitzvah! Adam came in quick and fast and gave the Torah a big kiss!

We are all growing up so fast - tracing our feet was a interesting way to see how big our feet are getting.

To make a lasting memory we created feet molds and decorated with lots of fun colors.
Our friends are excited to put it outside of our homes and see if our feet gets bigger.

A bounce house came to visit at Gan and helped us get our fun bubbly energy out through our feet!

Just right outside Gan we have beautiful luscious trees growing and taking a little nature hike near them was adventurous and a great bonding experience.

Enjoying a healthy snack outdoors.

Our class became a mini chef session as our friends prepared their very own pizza lunch.

Delicious!

Speaking of delicious, thanks to the Morgan family our garden has been producing cucumbers and our friends made a cucumber salad!

This week we also celebrated Aharon Ha'kohen's Yarzeit (when he passed away). He was the brother of Moshe Rabeinu and valued peace and harmony his entire life.
At Gan we are one family, and treasure all the friendships that are made.

We want to wish a big Mazel Tov to Mendy Conboy and his family on his 'Areinfernisht'- a monumental step in his Jewish education.

Good Shabbos and have a happy healthy rest of your summer!
We love you all!

Mitzvahs we do with our HEAD!

This week at Gan we learned about Mitzvahs we can do without HEAD!
Specifically, taking a moment in the day and THINKING about Hashem!

During our Davening by the Shema prayers is a special time to think about Hashem.

We invited our friends to document what they are thinking about.

Our friends decorated fun Mitzvah hats!

Talking about heads, we tried drawing with them! It was a fun challenge using a marker attached to a helmet while rolling on the floor, it produced some fun images and giggles.

Chana, using her fine motor skills giving a haircut. Eli, used playdough to make hair on our pretend heads.

Taking care of our bodies is a Mitzvah! Our friends had fun making vegetable heads while also munching on some!

Sylvia, came this week and did gymnastics with us! We made sure to stretch our bodies.

Learning some new techniques.

With the Camarillo Fair right outside our school we had some fun bringing in some carnival games into our afternoon classroom.

Mitzvahs with our MOUTH!

Our friends are so filled with Mitzvahs! This week we focused on a Mitzvah we can do with our mouth which is saying a Bracha- blessing on food! Asking and thanking Hashem for the food that we eat.

Axel, during snack time saying a beautiful 'Ha-etz' Bracha that we say on fruit.

During the morning centers we put out fun centers that focused on different Brachas. Yossi, created 'Mezonos' cookies made out of different colors of play dough.

Using our engineering skills building 3d constructions out of pieces of Ha-etz apples on toothpicks.

Making a healthy delicious vegetable salad for the Bracha of Ha-adama.
While learning about the blessing we have been talking about what is good for our bodies to grow strong.

So delicious and colorful!

Yankel, using colored shaving cream to create a 'Shehakol' ice cream.

Practicing the Brachas with a match-it game!

To help bring our lessons home we created an adorable Brachas project. With their own face and food items our friends could practice what Bracha to say.

In the afternoon we had a Bracha's fair! Experiencing hands on different food groups through touch, art, taste and explore.

Yossi, decorating the signs for the fair.

Matching up fun foods to the correct Bracha.

Making BIG bubbles on bubble day! It took practice and persistence.

A puppet show came to Gan! What fun giggles!

Good Shabbos!
