Purim is in the air!

This week in our class we learned about the Purim story. It was so fun watching our friends role play the story themselves and getting dressed up.

Enjoying the Purim story with fun puppets.

When the King Achashverosh was trying to pick a new Queen, all the girls got dressed up and prepared themselves. Leah and Mimi, having fun painting nail polish and we had make up for those who wanted to dress themselves up.

Kfir, being creative ;)

Rabbi Mendel, Morah Hadar's husband came to visit us and tell us a Purim story and we even got to look at a real Megillah!

Finding the letters in our name inside the Megillah.

Purim is definitely in the air with some Hamentashen fun!  We used connect 4 red pieces as the jam and magnetic sand to try to make a triangle Hamentashen.

Decorating a fun Purim clown scene together!

This week, we also worked on our graggers for Purim!

Using our gross motor skills on a very fun obstacle course !

Kindergarten Kria
We learned a new vowel this week! Cholom, which looks like a ball going over the letter. We used  a beach ball to go over some of our friends holding a letter and listening to the sound 'oy'. If it was the letter Beis it sounded like 'Boy'.

English Academics
We played the Matt Man game/song. This helps with size recognition, placement, and sequence skills.

We then drew our own Matt Man. The Matt Man activity helps promote body awareness, socializing, and sharing as well as teaches children how to accurately draw people.
