Welcome back and counting!

Welcome back free art. Using pictures from our Pesach break our friends were invited to create a scrap booking page to show our friends.

Feels so good to be back with friends!

This week we started learning about the Sefiras Haomer the counting we do from Pesach to Shavous, when we received the Torah. Mendy, proudly showing the Har Sinai chart they made to keep track of the numbers.

We also learned this weeks Parshas Shimi where it talks about keeping Kosher.
Mordy, drawing the word basar- which means meat. We don't mix milk and meat.

Kosher fish faces! We decorated our fish with fins and scales since that's what makes fish kosher.

Pre-K Kria

Learning the letter Tzaddik. Chana proudly showing her Tzedaka picture in the letter Tzaddik.

Kubutz party! OOOOO kind of like Choo choo train sound. To help us remember the sound we created trains and placed letters in them to see what happens when we add the sound Kubutz.

Aftercare

We picked our very first beet from our garden! What an accomplishment. Making sure our garden has been watered and taken care of paid off!

Scavenger hunt in honor of earth day!

Let's count!

Welcome back! Our friends were greeted with pictures from their Pesach break to help with transitioning back to our regular routine. Through drawing about what they did and discussing it, it helps with friends connecting to one another.

Showing what we did with our friends is definitely the highlight.

This week our theme was the counting of the Siferas Haomer.

We’re counting the days from Pesach to Shavuos—just like the Jewish people did long ago! Every day is one step closer to the special day when Hashem gave us the Torah.

We went on a little trip around the classroom counting all the numbers to see where it would take us!

It brought us a beautiful present and inside was the Torah!

We placed a flashlight inside to shine light on the Torah to show the Torah lights up the world!
We also got to taste a delicious treat since when we learn the Torah it's so sweet for us and Hashem.

While learning about the counting of the Omer we took this opportunity to start our two week math skills unit. Levi connecting magnet tiles with the correct number he sees.

Printed hand numbers from 1-10 was a great way for our friends to practice then numbers.
Some drew objects with how many fingers they saw.

Some friends practiced doing it themselves!

Gross motor number fun trying to hop from number to number. Zalman, figuring out he can hold on to a chair and hop for a long time.

Making challah dough together!

Our garden produced our very first beet!

Pack your bags for GEULAH!

This week, we continued learning about Pesach. We looked at the calendar and saw that this year, Pesach starts right after Shabbat! We talked about Chag Rishon (the first days of Pesach) and Chag Sheni (the last days of Pesach). On the first days of Pesach, we will have the seder night and celebrate leaving Mitzrayim (Egypt), and the last days remind us of the future Geulah, when Hashem will bring us the redemption. The Lubavitcher Rebbe taught that just like Hashem saved us from Egypt, He will bring Moshiach soon to save the whole world!
On Chag Sheni, we will have a special meal called "Seudat Moshiach." The Rebbe taught that this meal is extra special because it connects us to the Geulah! The kids pretended to eat alot of matzah to show Hashem that we are ready for the Geulah to come right now!

Morah handed out paper bags, and we wrote the word "Geulah" on them.

Then, the children got to choose what they would bring with them to Eretz Yisrael when Moshiach will come.

We used blocks to build Yerushalayim and the Beis Hamikdash!
Yossi C. was excited to build a really tall building with the blocks!

After the Jews were freed from Egypt and crossed Yam Suf (Red Sea), the women led the way in praising Hashem. They took their tambourines and danced, celebrating their freedom. The Rebbe teaches that the tambourines show how happy and thankful we are for the miracles Hashem did for us. So we decorated our own tambourines!

Dancing for Moshiach now!

All the Pesach projects are coming together beautifully!

We've also started cleaning for Pesach.

Taking all our silly's out! 😋

Soccer Time wearing colored vests for each team.

This week, the children had fun taking turns wearing a crown with a word on it. Their friends helped sound out the word, and the child wearing the crown wrote it down. It was a fun way to practice reading, writing, and teamwork while helping each other learn!

Academics

For Social Studies we have been learning about the Arctic and Antarctic. The students wrote sentences about polar bears.

Chana working hard on her polar bear language arts worksheet.

Happy Birthday Mordy! 💜

A miraculous walk!

This week at Gan we finished the Pesach story! While Tal was busy building his tower, Moshe came to reassure him we were about to leave Mitzrayim!

King Paroh, who was dressed in his pajamas wanted them to leave right away in the middle of the night. Moshe, said he wanted everyone to see this miracle and when morning hit they quickly got out of Mitzrayim.

Rushing out of Mitzrayim with nothing but Matzah on their back.

It was going all great and we were dancing to Hashem that we can finally leave but then UH OH we had to stop, there was a sea in front of us!
Who can help us? Our friends burst out in song "Hashem is here , Hashem is there!"
It was a miracle the sea split in half for us to walk through!

It felt so real walking by the blue water and even finding seashells on the floor!

The miracles continued since we were a bit hungry and we saw apple tree growing! There was also water for us to drink, thank you Hashem!

The women in Mitzrayim, had such belief in Hashem that even when life was so hard they had their tambourines getting ready to thank Hashem for the miracles! When we came out of our miraculous walk we each got a tambourine to dance with!

Role playing through a puppet show what happened during the splitting of the sea.

Using a sensory table with these items to help our friends touch and feel the story.

Continuing our work on the Hagaddah.

Working together in the sand box.

                                                                               I can do it!

What does it feel like when our hands get covered in sand?
