Getting ready for Rosh Hashana!

We started off our week preparing for the actual day of Rosh Hashana.
What is it like in Shul?
When we daven to Hashem this is a special chance to talk about anything.
Friends were invited to come up and tell us what is on their mind.
Zalman, had his family to talk about.

We are all so unique and special.
A fun graphing activity showcased this by choosing our own tastes.
After tasting red and green apples, we voted which one was more their taste.

Our Rosh Hashana unit is filled with all types of skills. We practiced our math by counting out honey combs for the bee.

Akiva, counting out the raisins to put on the round Rosh Hashana challahs.

Baking teaches a lot about math by measuring our each ingredient to make delicious honey cupcakes.

We placed a pomegranted on the table and observed what happens next.
Some guessed it was an apple. Zalman, said it was much heavier than an apple.
Some friends knew it was a delicious pomegrante.!

We opened the pomegranate up to learn why we traditionally eat it on Rosh Hashana.  Zak, trying to count how many seeds he saw. There are so many teaching us we want to be filled with so many Mitzvahs this coming new year!

Thank you Rabbi Lang., for coming to do a fun rally and hearing the Shofar in preparation for Rosh Hashana.

Bonding and learning about each other. It has been so beautiful to watch friends become more and more comfortable with each other and creating special friendships.

Have a good Shabbat and happy Rosh Hashana! May we all be inscribed for a sweet new year!
