Mishpatim and Mitzvahs!

This week's Parsha Mishpatim is filled with many Mitzvahs. We focused on some this week in our classroom.
We learned about Kosher and that we don't mix milk and meat! Shai, holding up a food item and our friends had to say if it belonged in the Milk, meat or Pareve (neither) category. Mimi, adding a page in her Mitzvah book about keeping Kosher.

Through story telling and acting we learned about how important it is to protect a hole in the ground so no people or animals get hurt. The person who dug the hole has to be responsible. Chana, helped build a fence around a hole so Morah Hadar wouldn't fall in.

Lastly, we played a game about a Mitzvah that when we borrow something we need to take care of it and return it. While Mendy was blindfolded he had to guess who was lending him something from the classroom.

Yossi, working hard cutting out his name and finding items that start with his first letter of his name to decorate with.

Learning how to play chess! What a fun great brain activity!

Another brain exercise  is trying to follow the hand pattern that Morah did on the table! This is also a great activity to cross the left and right side of the brain.

Practicing our letters and vowels by using magnetic letters on muffin tins that had a mix up of different vowels that we already know. Some of the Prkers are catching on just by watching the Kindergarteners practice!

Prk Kria
We learned the letter final Mem!

 Kindergarten Kria
We learned a new Hebrew Vowel of Shva!
It sounds like something is itchy-- "iiii" we had fun doing different activities to practice the new sound.

 English academics
Our friends were busy making, reading & writing three letter words in English Academics

For our Math skills we practiced  counting in 10s  & Language Arts we did reading/comprehension of sight words .
