Our featured book this week was The Aleph Bais Trip on the Aleph Bais Ship.
Children are introduced to the Hebrew letters through an exciting adventure as each Alef-Bais letter joins a voyage on a ship. Along the way, they become familiar with the names, order, shapes, and sounds of the Alef-Bais while seeing how every letter is unique and important. Through colorful illustrations, rhyming text, and imaginative storytelling, the book builds early Hebrew literacy, memory, and a love for learning Torah.
Our morning centers invited each of the children to learn to recognize the letter that their own Hebrew name starts with! Using art, cookie making and more the children learned to recognize their own hebrew letter!
We had fun making the cookie dough, and learned how to check the eggs to make sure they are Kosher!
