Oops, I'm Sorry!

Yom Kippur is coming so we turned our classroom into a shul! Zalman, taught us how to put on tefillin and showed us what this special mitzvah looks like. ✨

The sound of the shofar filled our classroom as we danced b’simcha with the Torah!

On Yom Kippur, we wear white clothing to look like angels. Yehudis and Ariella, had so much fun designing their own beautiful white dresses! 🤍

Yosef and Tal, added a tallis to their special white kittel and a machzor in their hands just like we see in shul on Yom Kippur.

On Yom Kippur, we wear slippers instead of regular shoes, so of course we had to make our own! We practiced our fine motor skills by carefully threading the tiny beads.

We learned the story of Yonah, which we read on Yom Kippur. Yonah tried to run away from the special mission Hashem gave him, but after spending time in the belly of a big fish, he was ready to fix his mistake and do what Hashem asked. Yosef helped us make the story come alive! 🐋

When Yonah chose to follow Hashem’s mission, he went to the people of Ninveh and told them to do teshuvah and fix their “oopsies.” And they did! Yonah and the people of Ninveh showed us that we can always make better choices and try again.

Here you can see how much the kids are loving our new book, What Should Danny Do? It’s an interactive story where our choices change what happens next, and we can even get a different ending depending on the choices we make...
