What does "sorry" really mean?

This week we learned all about Yom Kippur!
After learning about Rosh Hashana and all the Mitzvahs we do that are sweet we now focused on what happens when we make an 'oops'.
Step number one was that we ALL make mistakes and its ok and step number two is how can we fix it now?
Using puppets helped us role play what to do when making a mistake.
Eliara "I can ask a friend if they want a hug or space"

During the day we have plenty of opportunities when we are in each other's space to practice listening to our friends needs.

We created our own face craft with a reversable smiley face or frown. Different scenarios helps us practice what we would do if we make a mistake or something happens to us.

 "Yom Kippur Shul"

During aftercare our friends drew what they were feeling.

Sweet moments are all over the place and it's so heartwarming to watch our friends communicate and create special moments together.

Thank you, Morah Racheli for coming to play Rosh Hashana niggunim with her guitar!
It was a treat to come and try to play the guitar as well!

Chalk and water and discovering the art we can make with it!

Our friends are getting more confident in our gross motor skills. Juda, was excited to show all his friends what he was able to do.

During mini academics time friends who don't nap had fun finding all the A's around school.

One of the highlights of the week, Challah making!
