As we continue our trip through Mitzvah Town, we enter Brachos Blvd!
This week was a delicious one ;) We explored lots of exciting foods, and made some yummy recipes to help us remember what Bracha (blessing) to say on what food! The food activities definitely made it fun for our friends! We had lots of curious friends asking throughout the week what Brocha their snack is?
Shehakol -Blessing said on foods that do not grow in the ground. We say this on meat, chicken, fish, eggs, drinks, candies etc...

Using our sense of taste, we played a game of having different juices in a cup.
The goal was to guess what juice was inside!
We enjoyed some free slurpees on 7/11!!
but it didn't end up tasting as yummy as we hoped it would!

We separated the fruits and Vegetables to where they grow from.
This was a great activity to help the children differentiate between the Bracha of "Heitz" (grow on trees) and "Ha-adama" (grow in the ground)
Mezonos - food that is made from grain, but is not bread (cookies, muffins, pastries)
We created our very own "Caring Cookie Jar" so we can focus on noticing all the good and kind acts our friends do for each other and with each other! When the cookie jar is filled we will have an exciting ice cream party!
