Torah Tots Shape Up!

This week we learned a lot about Shapes!
An assortment of items from our classroom was a fun way to graph and categorize the different shapes they saw. This took team work and a lot of thinking skills since some were quite tricky.

Creative minds at work.
Bela Riva ran to get trains to use the circle as her rail road track.
Faiga noticed circles on the triangle toy, where should she place it? This turned into a great conversation amongst her friends.

Hannah practicing her cutting skills while naming the different shapes.

Circles

Batya had fun choosing from different round objects to create her circle painting.
Menachem wanted to draw a circle inside of a circle to see how many would fit.

Ari cracked us all up dancing around the class with his 'circle glasses'

Squares!
Faiga creating a square picture made from squares!

Without giving too many instructions we challenged the children to try to create a square using their bodies!

Rectangles!
Fun gross motor skills tasks were a fun way to differentiate between the square and the rectangle.

Dovi creating a robot out of rectangles only.

 Triangles
Rozie had a fun sensory experience while trying to create a triangle out of clay.

Magna tiles helped us review the shapes we already learned.
