Parshas Noach and helpfulness!

This week we learned about Parshas Noach.
Shai, helped us act out what the people were like. Hashem, gifted them with tremendous strength and height. However, they used these gifts for not good. Every person in the world besides Noach and Naama's family just wanted to fill the world with darkness.
Noach and Naama had a big job!

Hashem told Noach there will be a Mabul - a full world flood.
While learning about boats and what floats on water we experimented with different objects to see what floats and what sinks.

Leah, painting her Teiva black as the tar that Noach had to put on the inside and outside of the Teiva so no water would come in. Our friends, found 7 kosher animals and 2 non-kosher animals to place in the Teiva.

When the Mabul was over Hashem showed Noach's family a beautiful rainbow showing them He will never bring a Mabul again! The rainbow also shows us what our job is in the world- to fill it with beautiful Mitzvahs.
Mimi, watched her rainbow colors float to the top of the water.

As a class we documented on our rainbow bulletin board how our friends are helpful.
Shai, helping feed our fish. Leah, making sure our dishes are clean.

Mimi, noticed Chaya Leah needed a ice pack and ran to get one! This is how our world is filled with so much light, when we each do our part to be helpful and kind.

Prk kria

Learnign the letter daled. Leah, showing her friends how to make it.

Yossi, made a daled with blocks.

Using our finger prints to create and review our alef beis.

Kindergarden kria

We introduced the first vowel of Kamatz this week! We introduced it by talking about the holiness of the letters and vowels. At Har Sinai Hashem showed Moshe each holy letter and the black letters in the Torah were created with black fire and the white spaces around the letters were made with white fire. We looked at a flame to see what colors we see.

Been so beautiful to witness the enthusiasm of learning how to not just read a new language but the holiness it comes with.

Yedidya, making a kamatz ice cream cone.

During academics our class has been working on their math skills and writing their names.

Have a great Shabbos!
