I have two voices inside me!

This week's Parsha is Toldos. We learned about the twins that Yitzchak and Rivka had.
Yakov and Esav both very physically different as well as personalities.
Kfir felt  Esav's skin that was red and hairy.

Our acting skills coming to life during Parsha time.
Yakov, who was intrested in doing Mitzvahs and learning Torah was making a soup for his father. Esav, busied himself with hunting and was willing to sell his birth right to Yakov since he just wanted to eat the soup.
We learned about table manners and what is really important in life.

We made our very own lentil vegetable soup! It was so delicious!

Enjoying the soup in the afternoon with our friends from the other class!

We all have a YAKOV and ESAV voice inside us. We are not bad for having thoughts to do something not good we need to make sure our Yakov voice is strong enough to do the right thing or fix our mistake.
Mendy, working hard on his Yakov and Esav puppet and writing down what a Yakov or Esav voice would sound like.

During Davening circle we have been doing Esav breathing - when we tense up our whole body and make a mad face and release our breath relaxing our body like Yakov.
Mimi "Maybe Esav's hair was red since he got mad all the time."

Catching 'Yakov moments'. Friends raise their hands when they want to answer a question instead of talking on top of other people.

By clean up, at first friends did not want to stop and clean but after remember we also have a 'Yakov voice' friends quickly chose a job to help.

Kfir, remembering how to hold a scissor in a safe way.

Prk Kria
Learning the letter Ches that starts the word Challah. Yossi  made his Ches out of two Challah braids.

Mimi, proud of her Ches project for her scrap book. Leah, tracing and naming letters.

Kindergarten Kria
Practicing our patach and kamatz by mixing it up!
We had fun with drum sticks to hear when there is two sounds or one.

Using lentils to create our  letters and sounds.

English academics
Pumpkin science. Learning about pumpkin life cycles, measuring and density.
Learning about density…will our pumpkins sink or float?

Enjoying the first rain!
