A Different Rosh Hashana

Every year we celebrate Rosh Hashana again and again. Every year we grow and start fresh. We are so excited to learn and understand more and more.

Morah Avigayil made a spiral and put pictures of a baby growing up... every year the baby grows and starts fresh. This way it's never the same.

Integrating the different Simanim, symbolic foods, into our learning.

Creating Rosh Hashanah cards
Mina counts the number of apples to fill her ten frame.

The Shofar and Teshuva

The Shofar sounds like a baby who is crying. We cry out to Hashem and we ask Him to help us fix all our mistakes. We learned that mistakes are good because we can grow and learn from them. Teshuva is something good. After we fix a mistake, we learn not do it again. This make us mature.
Menachem shared:"It's not always easy to fix a mistake".

Using our senses to figure out what was hiding in the box. So many baby things.
The sounds of a Shofar sound like a baby crying.
We cry to Hashem for what we need.

When we go to Shul on Rosh Hashana we are going to hear 3 different kinds sounds.

Tekiah --------------------------------------

Sh'varim ---------     -----------    -----------

T'ruah ---   ---   ---   ---   ---   ---  ---  ---  ---

Touching and feeling different types of shofars.

We learned the song of the 4 names for Rosh Hashana:

Rosh Hashana, Rosh Hashana is the head of the year.
Yom Hadin the day of judgment.
Yom Teruah, Yom Teruah the day that we blow Shofar.
Yom Hazikaron Hashem remembers all we did.

This week we had a Farbrengen (chassidic gathering) with Rabbi Lang in honor of Chai Elul. Rabbi Lang shared with us some story's about the the Baal Shem Tov.

We learnt so much from watching an ant colony work!
We watched two ants pull a worm into their  hole.

Happy 6th Birthday Rozie!!
We love you!!
Keep learning and growing!
