Torah Tots doing 'tummy time'?!

All about me unit
This week we focused on how much we have grown.
We highlighted what it was like when they were a baby vs now.
It was so exciting to start off our week with a Mazel Tov to Moshe and Yanky on their new baby brother!
Yanky showing his friends a picture of his new baby.
This helped start the conversation of when they were a baby.

Our circle time had a lot of giggles when we acted out different things we did as a baby.
Being feed like a baby.

Mendel showed us what tummy time is. It is truly amazing to think about all the milestones these children have mastered in a couple of years!

Mina and Esther role played how we burped as a baby.

These discussions continued all throughout the day. When we were doing our Tzedakah song we discussed how little objects can be quite dangerous for little babies.

What was the most precious to see is when our friends take on a nurture role and find babies to love on. Emma was multitasking for quite some time with her little one.

Adelle learned how to swaddle her baby.

We created a baby center in our dramatic play area to invite the children to care for babies and continue the discussion and learning amongst each other.

Cut out paper, clay and popsicle sticks invited the children to create a 3D self portrait.

Esther made herself and her friends on the roof of her house.

Arik creating himself by tracing a circle oatmeal cover to make his face.

Name recognition at our paint center. We wrote each of their names using a hot glue, that they were able to feel and paint on top of .

Hebrew letter recognition.

For some of our older friends we have started to introduce more letter recognition during our center play time. Each key had a different Hebrew letter on it and our friends had to find the matching lock to open it.

Show and Tell is a great way to learn more about each other.
Chanie wanted to bring in her baby brother's baby toy.

What a treat it was to have Batya's Bubby and Zaidy bring their own show and tell! It was so much fun to meet Chloe and Oreo.

We invited our friends to ask any questions they had. One child asked if they took baths. Batya's Bubby showed us a picture on her phone of the dogs taking a bath!

We want to wish a big Mazel Tov and happy birthday to our dear Morah Chana!
