Let's stick together!

This week we focus on a huge mitzvah of Ahavat Yisrael — loving every Jew ๐Ÿ’• Creating a fun friends project! Avraham was excited to show which friends he created!

Chana, came up with the silliest game: “Whose eyes are these? Guess!” ๐Ÿ‘€

We began learning about Lag Ba’Omer, focusing on the special story of Rabbi Akiva. He was a famous Rabbi with thousands of students, and we still learn his teachings today. But he didn’t start out that way, Rabbi Akiva only began learning Torah at the age of 40! To bring the story to life, Rabbi Muchnik joined us and transformed into "Rabbi Akiva," becoming a student while our friends helped him learn the Alef Beis!
So many giggles!

Rabbi Akiva, once saw a big rock with a hole in it. Little drops of water kept falling on the rock, and slowly, slowly, they made a hole! Rabbi Akiva learned from this that if we keep trying — even little by little — we can do big and amazing things! Even though Rabbi Akiva started learning Torah when he was already grown up, he worked very hard and became a great and famous Rabbi!

Inspired by this story, Nechama L and Yossi F explored with water and rocks with holes, bringing the lesson to life through play.

We created our own "Torah Rocks", each one showing a mitzvah that’s close to our hearts!

Don't forget to poke a hole!

Rabbi Akiva taught that the most important mitzvah is Ahavat Yisrael. To help us understand this, we did a fun experiment! Breaking just one stick is very easy, but breaking a whole bunch of sticks together is much harder! Although Shai is so strong and managed to break them all! Still, we learned a special lesson: when we stick together with love and friendship, we are much stronger and can accomplish amazing things!

Each of us is so different and sees the world in our own special way. To help us understand this, we looked through a tube and noticed different things around the classroom. Mendy saw the Rebbe’s picture and the letter Final Tzadik, while Leah saw something completely different, she noticed Yossi C. and our Safe Space area. This taught us about having a different point of view. When we remember that everyone sees things differently, it helps us understand each other better and become closer friends.

One morning, we became photographers! Each child captured a special photo showing their own point of view.

Over the next few weeks, building up to Lag Baomer, we’ll be watching out for Ahavat Yisrael moments in our classroom. Every time we spot one, it will become a puzzle piece, and soon, all the pieces will come together to form one big loving heart!

We built Ahavat Yisrael mitzvot out of playdough. Yossi made himself bringing food to a family who just had a new baby!

Leah created an army of hearts!

Sharing is a way to show Ahavat Yisrael ๐Ÿ’•

Counting games for the Omer!

Wow! Morah Rachel's tea turned purple when we added orange juice and honey!

We had so much fun exploring and feeling different textures!

Movement time! We had fun dancing and playing our rhythm sticks!

We have been learning about needs, wants & financial literacy. Here Mordy & Yossi are playing money bingo.
